Lifeline Service, Link-Up Program, and Universal Services Beggs Telephone Company, Inc. is an Eligible Telecommunications Provider serving approximately 100 square miles in the City of Beggs and the surrounding rural area. The Telephone Company provides Lifeline, Link-Up, and Universal Services as directed by the Federal Communications Commission and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Lifeline is a government assistance program. The service is non-transferable. Only eligible consumers may enroll in the program, and the program is limited to one discount per household. You may be eligible to receive a substantial discount on your basic telephone service or internet service if you live on former tribal land and participate in at least one of many state or federal assistance programs such as Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Supplemental Security Income, etc., or if your income is 135% or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Unlimited local calling is as little as $1.00 a month excluding applicable taxes, surcharges, and fees. Internet is discounted up to $34.25 a month.
